5-24-19 severe weather reminders

The Fond du Lac County Emergency Management director says this week’s wind storm is perfect example of why its important for residents to have weather radios.   High winds swept through the county early Wednesday morning toppling trees and power lines.  Emergency management director Bobbie Hicken says if there had been  a tornado or severe thunderstorm, a  weather radio will sound an alert.  “The time of the night is a big reminder that these things can happen at any time day or night,”  Hicken said.  “People need to make sure, especially this time of year, that they have a way to be notified.”
