Agnesian HealthCare’s Bereavement Services is hosting two programs this summer to help children deal with the death of a loved one. The 19th annual Kids Kamp-Growing Through Grief will be held June 18 and 19 at the Cedar Valley Campus in West Bend. It’s a free camp for children entering kindergarten through seventh grade to work through the grieving process. The Equine Experience in August is a unique program that gives teens the ability to express and recognize their grief through interaction with horses. Agnesian Bereavement specialist Sharon Stoffel says its important for children coping with the death of a loved one to be able to share their story as part of the healing process.
