Severe weather rolled through Wisconsin Thursday afternoon packing strong winds and dumping heavy rain. Fond du Lac Fire Chief Pete O’Leary says first responders and Alliant Energy crews were busy responding to several reports of downed trees and power lines. National Weather Service meteorologist, Denny Van Cleve, tells WFDL news a peak wind gust of 62 miles an hour was recorded in Fond du Lac. O’Leary says if you come across a downed power line, stay away and call the power company.
