East Cotton Street from North Park Avenue to McKinley Street

access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone
during working hours.
Marquette Street from Arndt Street to McWilliams Street
Schedule: July 2019 through October 2019
Description: The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
July 1 st to July 3 rd : City contractor will be removing trees and grinding stumps.
Traffic Impacts: Marquette Street remains open to traffic.
Grove Street from Superior Street to South Military Road
Schedule: April 2019 to June 2019
Description: The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
July 1 st to July 3 rd : The paving contractor will be fine grading and asphalt paving Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.

East Second Street Bridge over DeNeveu Creek
Schedule: May 2019 through June 2019
Description: Crews have rescheduled to mobilizing and start the epoxy overlay for Monday, July 1 st because of unfavorable weather.
July 1 st to July 3 rd : The E. Second Street Bridge will be closed on Monday, July 1 st for up to one week. Advance notification of the bridge closure will be made by a “message board”.
Traffic Impacts: E. Second Street Bridge is currently open to traffic and will remain open until the epoxy overlay work begins on Monday. The bridge and sidewalk will be closed beginning Monday, July 1 st for up to a week. The traveling public is asked to find an alternate route the week of July 1 st . No signed detour will be installed.
Arndt Street Bridge Replacement, Arndt Street between Satterlee Street and Lincoln Avenue
Schedule: June 2019 through September 2019
Description: The project includes the replacement of the Arndt Street Bridge over the West Branch of the Fond Du Lac River. This project is a partnership between the City of Fond du Lac and the Wisconsin Department of
Transportation (DOT).
July 1 st to July 3 rd : The contractor completed the removal of the existing bridge deck and center pier and will continue working on the new west bridge pier. Predrilling activities will begin this week.
Traffic Impacts: Arndt Street between Lincoln Ave. and Satterlee Street is “Closed” to traffic as of Friday, May 31 st for the duration of the project, which is expected to last until Mid-October. There will not be a signed detour but the use of N. Hickory Street to Scott Street to N. Brook Street or the Johnson Street Bridge is recommended. Boat traffic under the structure will be restricted at time as work progresses.
Bridge Sealing, Various Bridges through the City
Schedule: June 2019
Description: The project includes the cleaning, concrete crack filling and sealing the deck, sidewalk and parapets.
July 1 st to July 3 rd : The contractor will continue cleaning, crack filling and sealing the bridges over DeNeveu Creek and the East and West Branch of the Fond du Lac River.
Traffic Impacts: Traffic may be restricted to one lane over several bridges. Traffic will be directed over the bridges by means of a “flagger” or “stop” signs, so at time there will be a delay to cross these bridges.
Pedestrian traffic will be allowed to cross when the sidewalks are not being actively treated.
County Road V from Pioneer Road to Fond du Lac Avenue
Pioneer Road from Sherwood Boulevard to Wedgewood Road
Schedule: April 2019 through October 2019
Description of work: The project includes reconstruction of the water main and services and partnership with Fond du Lac County for new storm sewer, street, pedestrian trail, and lighting.
July 1 st to July 3 rd : Fond du Lac County Highway Dept continues work on storm sewer installation and has started common excavation.
Traffic impacts: County Road V from Fond du Lac Avenue and Pioneer Road is closed to through traffic. Additionally, Pioneer Road from Sherwood Blvd to Wedgewood Lane is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs.
Project Detour: North on Fond du Lac Avenue to South on Martin Avenue to west on Pioneer Road.
