Ripon city officials continue to work with a potential buyer for a former landmark resort in Green Lake County. The Heidel House Resort and Spa in Green Lake closed earlier this spring after more than 70 years in business. Ripon city officials say they have been in contact with what they describe as a “very solid and qualified buyer” who wants to retain the Heidel House as a resort. However, the Ripon mayor says the buyer has expressed an interest only in the resort portion of the property. The Ripon Common Council discussesd the matter at a Committee of the Whole meeting this week.
