2019 was a record year for the EAA AirVenture. This year marked AirVenture’s 50th year in Oshkosh. EAA spokesman, Dick Knapinski says approximately 642,000 people attended this year’s event, a nearly seven percent increase over last year’s record total. During the EAA Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh is the busiest airport in the country. A UW Oshkosh economic impact study estimates the economic impact for the five counties in the region, Winnebago, Outagamie, Fond du Lac, Calumet and Brown at $170 million.
