A man is in custody following a high speed chase in Beaver Dam following a domestic incident. Shortly after 11pm Wednesday Beaver Dam police received a report of a domestic incident, and that an intoxicated man left the scene in a vehicle. About a half hour later officers spotted the suspect vehicle, and attempted to stop it. The driver refused to stop and fled at a high rate of speed, eventually traveling southbound on Grove St. The vehicle left the roadway and struck the North wall of the Beaver Dam Middle School. The collision caused structural damage to the building as well as damage to the electrical and water utilities. A fire was extinguished by the Beaver Dam Fire Department. The suspect sustained non-life threatening injuries and no other individuals were involved in the crash. The suspect driver was arrested or for domestic disorderly conduct, fleeing/eluding an officer, operating while under the influence, operating while suspended, and operating without insurance.
