Fond du Lac County executive Al Buechel says the county is benefitting from the state budget. That was the message Buechel delivered this week in a preliminary report on the proposed 2020 budget to the county Finance committee. Buechel says the county has received more money from the state for highway maintenance, and in several other areas. “The Department of Social Services is getting more child welfare money. We’re not sure what that number is going to be but it’s going to be several hundred thousand. (dollars) Child support is getting some additional money, courts are getting a bit more money, land conservation got a bit more money. So all in all state budget impacts are a net positive.”
