A 21-year-old Ixonia woman is scheduled to make her initial court appearance next month, accused of helping a convicted killer hide a Beaver Dam man’s body at the Dodge County property where she lived. Dakota Schlesner is charged with party to a crime of hiding a corpse. The charge carries a maximum penalty of more than 12 years in prison and a $25,000 fine if convicted. Schlesner is scheduled to make an initial Dodge County court appearance September third. Twenty one year old Nigel Schultz of Fond du Lac was convicted earlier this month of first-degree intentional homicide in Bradlee Gerke’s death and faces a mandatory life sentence.
