Gas prices for this Labor Day holiday weekend are the lowest in the last few years. State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmuscz says drivers are paying more than 25 cents less than they did a year ago. Jarmuscz tells WFDL news that the average price for a unleaded regular is $2.53 a gallon. Labor Day marks the end of the busy summer travel season and the last big surge in gasoline demand before the fall. Jarmuscz says motorists heading out this weekend should expect heavy traffic.
