(AP) — University of Wisconsin System President Ray Cross has named a temporary UW-Green Bay chancellor.  The system announced Thursday that Cross as picked Sheryl Van Gruensven as interim chancellor. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin officials say the gray wolf population may have stabilized after nearing extinction decades ago.  The state Department of Natural Resources says it counted from 914 to 978 wolves in the year to April 2019. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee's city health department is urging residents to immediately stop using vaping products after 16 people were hospitalized this month with a severe lung disease.  The department said in a statement Wednesday the individuals hospitalized in August all reported vaping in the weeks and months before they became ill with "severe chemical pneumonitis, or chemical pneumonia." 8-29-19 milwaukee man sentenced to prison for i-41 wayside beating, robbery

A Milwaukee man is going to prison for robbing a man at an Interstate 41 wayside.  Twenty five year old  Keenan Brown was sentenced to 8 years in prison and five years extended supervision  in Dodge County Court.    He was convicted in June of Robbery with Use of Force and Substantial Battery.  The sentence will run  consecutively to the sentence Brown is already serving.  Brown will not be released from prison until  2029.  […]

8-29-19 waupun man charged in connection with weekend incident

A Waupun man arrested following an incident that critically injured the man’s grandmother has made his initial  Fond du Lac court appearance.  Thirty year old Gregory Spittel  is charged with threatening a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.  He is also charged with possession of  cocaine and drug paraphernalia.   Judge Richard Nuss set bail at $21,000 cash.   Police were called to the Brandon Street home last Saturday and found Spittel’s grandmother with […]

A motorcyclist was killed in a car vs. motorcycle crash in Dodge County.  The crash happened shortly before 6am Wednesday on  Kellom Road north of CTH B in the Township of Beaver Dam.  A northbound motorcycle was making a left turn into a business parking lot and collided with a southbound passenger car.  The driver of the car was uninjured and was the only occupant of the car.
