9-28-19 fdl city council approves short term loan for retlaw hotel

The Fond du Lac city council has approved a short term  loan for the downtown Retlaw Hotel.  City council president Brian Kolstad says the $350,000 eight month loan will be used for the hotel  for operating expenses.  The loan is in addition to a $2.4 million tax increment district created by the city to help with a $35 million renovation project for the historic hotel.   The refurbished hotel reopened earlier this year under new ownership and management.
