Ribbon cutting ceremonies and a welcoming ceremony were held this week for the new Treffert Way Charter School in North Fond du Lac. Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says the K-6 school focuses on each child’s unique talents, individually tailoring the students learning experience to his or her strengths. Sadoff says the foundation of the Treffert Way is built upon individualization, focus on strength/talent-based, leveraging the natural environment, understanding the developmental perspective, being sensory aware and working collaboratively. Sadoff says the school offers a safe learning environment where students are taught self-regulation, social-emotional skills and empathy. The school is being funded with a five year $700,000 grant.
