Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a detached garage in Fond du Lac. On Saturday firefighters were called to the scene at 599 East Bank Street for a report of detached garage on fire. When firefighters arrived the homeowner had extinguished most of the fire using a garden hose, but not before it melted siding on the garage, and started to melt some of the siding on the house. The fire was started from campfire ashes placed in a garbage bin next to the garage.
