MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A bipartisan group of lawmakers is looking to expand notifications when serious criminals are released from prison.  The legislators introduced a bill Wednesday that calls for the Department of Corrections to notify police in the community where the convict will reside, work or attend school. LINCOLN, Neb. A pinning ceremony will be held next week for three new Fond du Lac police officers and two officers who have received promotions.   Police officer Michael Noble has been promoted to Lieutenant.  Noble is a seven year veteran of  the department.   School Resource Officer Kristina Meilahn has been promoted to detective.  She was hired by the department in 2011.   Newly hired officers Brooke Mathes, Dustin Hodgson and Ryan Biffert have completed the department’s field training […]
