A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the vandalism this month to the Beaver Dam Rotary holiday lights in Swan Park. A $5000 reward is being offered by an anonymous donor through the Beaver Dam Rotary Club. Rotary Lights Committee chair, Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt, says several of the light displays, trees and newly created gingerbread house were damaged or destroyed. He says perpetrators stolen golf carts to damage the light display. Anyone with information is asked to contact Beaver Dam police detective Dan Kuhnz at dkuhnz@bdpd.org or by calling (920)356-2552. Meanwhile Schmidt says Interquest of Beaver Dam has agreed to donate the majority of the funds to install security cameras and WIFI at the park. Schmidt says Interquest is asking for the Beaver Dam Rotary Club to fund $10,000 of the system.
