Fond du Lac County area law enforcement agencies will be out in force this New Year’s holiday to crack down on drunken driving.   The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign started earlier this month and runs through New Year’s Day.  Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s captain Bill Tadych says last year in Wisconsin,  alcohol-related crashes resulted in 160 deaths and nearly 3,300 injuries.  There have been three alcohol-related fatalities in Fond du Lac County so far this year.  Statewide about 6,000 police officers are trained in Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement and 300 Drug Recognition Experts to help detect and remove impaired drivers from the roadways.
