A 21-year-old Ixonia woman has been placed on probation for helping a convicted killer hide a Beaver Dam man’s body at the Dodge County property where she lived. Dodge County Circuit judge Brian Pfitzinger placed Dakota Schlesner on two years probation with 10 months in jail. Schlesner was earlier found guilty of aiding a felon. Twenty one year old Nigel Schultz of Fond du Lac was earlier convicted of first-degree homicide in the shooting death of Bradlee Gerke and sentenced to life in prison. Authorities say Schlesner helped Schultz dispose of the body and did not report the murder to police until her father discovered the grave and called police.
