An 18-year-old North Fond du Lac man convicted  of  stealing vehicles last fall in Fond du Lac and Beaver Dam has been placed on probation.   One of the stolen vehicles was found in Beaver Dam Lake.   Dodge County Circuit judge Joseph Sciascia withheld sentence and placed Kaden Solano on probation for five years with a year in jail.  Solano pleaded no contest to operating a vehicle without consent, eluding and bail jumping.   Eighteen year old […]

According to a database of mass killings, mass shootings at the workplace remain a rare event. The mass shooting at a brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was only the 13th since 2006. 3-2-20 convicted child sex offender arrested in waupun

A convicted child sex offender from Montello faces multiple charges after he was arrested in Waupun with a teenage girl in his vehicle.  Waupun police stopped the 24 year old man for speeding last week on West Main Street.   According to a criminal complaint the man lied to officers about his identity and was arrested on a probation hold.  Officers also confiscated suspected methamphetamine from the vehicle.  Police say a 17 year old female […]

3-2-20 evers signs bill granting access to body camera footage

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Gov. Tony Evers has signed a bill that would grant the public access to most police body camera footage. The bill doesn't require police to wear body cameras but does declare that any footage that's captured would be generally available to the public to inspect and copy under Wisconsin's open records law. Evers' office announced the signing Friday.

2-28-20 neighbors say brewery shooter built guns from mail order parts

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Neighbors of a Milwaukee electrician who fatally shot five people at one of the nation's largest breweries before killing himself say he enjoyed building guns.
