A Fond du Lac teenager is in custody following a high speed chase in the City of Fond du Lac. The chase started shortly after midnight on Scott Street, heading eastbound from Hickory Street at 70 miles an hour. The car ran a red light westbound on Johnson Street at Park Avenue. The driver lost control at the intersection of Johnson St. and Rolling Meadows Drive. The vehicle struck a telephone pole and a business sign before coming to rest in a nearby parking lot. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 15 year old Fond du Lac boy was taken into custody and suffered minor injuries. The total pursuit covered approximately 2.3 miles. The driver faces charges of Fleeing/Eluding an Officer and 2 nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety. The driver was also issued several traffic citations.
