Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed several storage units in Fond du Lac County. Shortly after 11pm Monday firefighters from several departments were called to Barber Enterprises storage units in the town of Friendship. A passerby called the Communications Center and reported smoke coming from one of the storage units. Approximately 19 storage units total received some damage as a result of the fire. Of the 19 storage units, approximately five of the units and their contents are considered to be a complete loss. Each storage unit measured 10 feet wide by 24 feet long. There is believed to be approximately $100,000 dollars of damage just to the building itself. The monetary amount of damage done to the contents of the storage units is undetermined. The cause of the fire remains under investigation but is not considered suspicious.
