3-2-20 convicted child sex offender arrested in waupun

A convicted child sex offender from Montello faces multiple charges after he was arrested in Waupun with a teenage girl in his vehicle.  Waupun police stopped the 24 year old man for speeding last week on West Main Street.   According to a criminal complaint the man lied to officers about his identity and was arrested on a probation hold.  Officers also confiscated suspected methamphetamine from the vehicle.  Police say a 17 year old female passenger was in the vehicle which was in violation of his sex offender registration.
