Fond du Lac’s Marian University has announced that Michelle Majewski, PsyD., has been named Acting President. Majewski, who earned a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Adler University, replaces Dr. Andrew Manion, who announced last week he was stepping down to pursue other opportunities. Majewski previously served 29 years in a variety of roles at Marian, including full-time faculty member, chairperson, dean, and professor emerita. Her most recent position was Sponsorship Advisor for the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes (CSA), and in that capacity she served on the Marian University Board of Trustees. Majewski will take office immediately. A recipient of Marian’s Underkofler Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award, she also is the founding editor of the Journal of Homeland Security Education. Majewski says she looks forward to contributing to Marian University, supporting students and working collaboratively with faculty, staff and administration in moving the university forward.
