Area law enforcement was busy last weekend pulling over motorists speeding in excess of 100 miles an hour. Fond du Lac County Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says there were more than a half dozen traffic stops last Friday and Saturday on roads in Fond du Lac County. Waldschmidt says three vehicles were pulled over for speeding in excess of 100 miles an hour on Interstate 41, the State Patrol made a stop on a car speeding 115 miles an hour, on Saturday a car was pulled over for speeding in excess of 100 miles an hour on Highway 151 south of Fond du Lac and two cars were racing at 120 miles an hour on Highway 151. Waldschmidt warns motorists there are more deputies on patrol right now than usual because deputies have cancelled vacations and trips and there is no in-house training due to the coronavirus.
