Republican congressman Glenn Grothman says he is not as confident as the U.S. Treasury secretary for a quick economic rebound this summer from the coronavirus. Grothman says the question is whether people will feel comfortable going out to eat at restaurants, for example, when they reopen. “I’m very afraid that people are scared,” Grothman told AM 1170’s Between the Lines program. “Even if both (Governor) Tony Evers and (President) Donald Trump say things are back to normal are you going to want to go to a crowded restaurant? Are you going to want to sit on a crowded airplane? If the answer to those things is no I don’t see how we get a booming recovery,” Grothman said.
