The popular Hobbs Woods recreational trail in Fond du Lac County is reopening later this week. The Fond du Lac County Parks Department will reopen Hobbs Woods effective Friday, May 8th. When visiting Hobbs Woods, users are asked to continue to follow the Safer at Home guidelines established by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the Safer at Home Emergency Order #28. Users are also asked to respect the park by staying on existing trails, carrying out what you brought in, and parking on the paved area in the lot and not on Hickory Road. Visitors parking on or along either side of Hickory road will receive tickets. Columbia and Waupun Park Campgrounds, will reopen May 21st. Campers are asked to maintain social distancing of 6 feet at all times and limit all campsites to members of a single household or living unit. All other private gatherings of any number of people are prohibited.
