While many summer festivals and events have either been postponed or cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic and concerns about large public gatherings the Fond du Lac County Fair is still a go…at least for now. Fair Board treasurer Matt Immel told AM 1170s Between the Lines program last week regardless of whether the Fair is held the decision has been made to move forward with the 4H junior FFA shows and open class exhibitor shows. “Those we will confirm will take place,” Immel said. “We’re still looking at how we’re going to do that, virtual aspects of it, we’ll be paying close attention to social distancing requirements and health requirements that we have.” Immel says decisions on if certain aspects of the Fair will proceed or ultimately have to be cancelled will be made over the next four to six weeks.
