5-12-20 covid-19 testing sites open in milwaukee and madison

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Free community testing sites for the coronavirus have opened in Milwaukee and Madison. The sites that opened Monday expand on the number of locations where people can show up without an appointment to get screened for the highly contagious virus without having to leave their vehicles, though the sites also offer walk-up testing. The sites are part of the state’s effort to create testing sites in areas with a known lack of access to testing or with community spread of the disease. Health officials are urging anyone who has COVID-19 symptoms or who has been in close contact with someone who has had the disease to get tested.
