5-11-20 milwaukee teen receives non life-threatening injuries following crash in stolen vehicle in fdl county

A female Milwaukee teenager received non life-threatening injuries after crashing a stolen vehicle following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac County.   The chase started shortly after 11pm Sunday on Interstate 41 near Highway 26 in Winnebago County.    Deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle in Fond du Lac County, still traveling southbound near Cty N in the Township of Eldorado. Deputies attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, which failed to yield and continued southbound. The vehicle exited the Interstate at Cty OO but lost control on the off-ramp. The vehicle crashed after leaving the roadway and overturned, pinning the operator inside.   The driver was extricated from the vehicle and  transported to St. Agnes Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the incident by the Wisconsin State Patrol, North Fond du Lac Police Department, and the North Fond du Lac Fire/EMS Services.  The female operator is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail for a charge of Felony Eluding. She also faces numerous traffic related citations. The pursuit spanned a total of approximately four miles.
