The Merc National Walleye Fishing tournament on Lake Winnebago has been cancelled. Tournament organizers say the cancellation is due to the COVID-19 pandemic and conforms with the state’s Safer at Home prohibition of certain activities and public gatherings. The event was scheduled to take place June 12-14. Meanwhile, the Walleye Weekend Festival at Fond du Lac’s Lakeside Park has been postponed until late August.
