Fond du Lac School Board member Peggy Breister is stepping down. Breister says she is resigning her position effective June 1 due to increased duties and responsibilities with her job at UW-Oshkosh. Breister was re-elected to her second term on the board in 2019. She was the top vote getter both times she ran for the office. In her letter of resignation Breister says she is “humbled to have been a part of the board during a time when a nearly $100 million referendum in support of education approved.” “I hope the district will use this money to implement innovative teaching strategies that most benefit students,” Breister said. Breister says she hopes in some small way her limited time on the board was “able to make a difference and advance K-12 education in Fond du Lac.”
