The general manager of the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders baseball team says he is still confident there will be a season this summer. The Northwoods League recently announced the May 26 opening date had been postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19. Dock Spiders General manager Chris Ward says fan, player and personnel safety remain the primary focus, but he’s hopeful the 2020 season will still be played. Ward says the latest the season could start would probably be sometime in July.
