The Fond du Lac County executive says federal and or state assistance will be critical as counties and municipalities struggle financially during the coronavirus pandemic. A key part of a $3 trillion stimulus package passed by the House last week, but stalled in the senate is aid for local and state governments. County executive Al Buechel says if Fond du Lac County doesn’t get some assistance there will have to be some serious cuts in services in next year’s budget. “It’s very critical becausse as we look at where the budget is at this year, where we see it coming next year, if we don’t get some assistance we’re going to have to do some serious cutting,” Buechel told WFDL news.
