Nobody was injured and a teenage boy from Little Chute faces charges following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac County over the weekend. The chase started early Saturday morning after a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a vehicle speeding 89 miles an hour on Interstate 41 near Hickory Street in Fond du Lac. The suspect vehicle briefly exited the interstate at Military Rd. before continuing north on 41 increasing it’s speed. Attempts to slow the vehicle using tire deflation devices were unsuccessful. The pursuit was terminated in Winnebago County in the area of Hwy 44. The total length of the pursuit was approximately 18.5 miles. Investigation later revealed that the vehicle was operated by a juvenile male from Little Chute. Charges are being pursued against the suspect for felony fleeing/eluding, operating with a driver license, and speeding.
