The Fond du Lac Public Works director says the city hopes a survey will help the city learn of areas impacted by basement backups during heavy rain that may have gone unnoticed in the past. Jordan Skiff says residents who have experienced basement backups are encouraged to complete a survey form on the city’s website. In the past the city has had to bypass the wastewater treatment plant on certain occasions during heavy rain in order to prevent basement flooding. Skiff says the DNR is made aware of the bypassing each time it occurs.
