6-9-20 fdl county executive says fair board struggling with whether to hold fair

While most summer  festivals and events have been cancelled or postponed, no final decision has been made yet on  the Fond du Lac County Fair.   Fond du Lac County executive Al Buechel says the Fair board has been exploring options  for  big name music entertainment, including the possibility of  having a stage behind the grandstand so people can watch from their vehicles.  Buechel  says  it would be an outdoor theatre concept with a stage facing Fond du Lac Avenue.  Buechel says  the Fair Board wants  to move forward  with the 4H junior FFA shows and open class exhibitor shows.  “They want to do as much as they can because it’s a great experience for the community,”  Buechel told WFDL news.  “They understand they can’t expose everybody (to the virus) so they’re struggling with it, really struggling.”   The Fair is scheduled for the middle of July.
