A deluge flooded streets and caused basement back-ups throughout the Fond du lac area Wednesday afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood warning for Fond du Lac County late Wednesday afternoon as thunderstorms pushed through. Public Works director Jordan Skiff says when the rain subsided, the water quickly receded. “A lot of streets were flooded and cars were driving through water or turning around,” Skiff told WFDL news. “Police cars were blocking off areas to keep people from driving through.” Skiff says the city is still assessing damage. He says there were a number of calls from residents who experienced basement back-ups.
