A Fond du Lac man was rescued after his boat starting sinking on Lake Winnebago Sunday morning when the drain plug on the boat fell off. By the time the Sheriff’s Office Water/Rescue boat arrived, another nearby boat was towing the distressed boater to keep the boat from fully sinking. The Sheriff’s Water/Rescue boat towed the boat the rest of the way to the Fond du Lac Marina. The boat was not damaged and the operator was able to load the boat onto his trailer and remove it from the water.
