The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer says the latest models showing the number of COVID-19 deaths nearly doubling by September is scary and sad. A Harvard health expert said he expects the U.S to surpass 200,000 deaths sometime in September. The main model used by officials estimates the death toll at more than 193,000 by the end of September. Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says that’s exactly what we’re trying to avoid and why there are efforts to try to contain the virus without a vaccine. Mueller says her concern is that the right people are not being tested.
