The Fond du Lac Area Foundation has distributed 19 pandemic relief grants to Fond du Lac County nonprofit organizations. Foundation director Joe Braun says the grants are a result of the Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund, which was created in 2008 and is set in action only in response to extreme circumstances, such as natural disasters and community crises. The fund was activated in April in response to COVID-19’s deep community impact. Nonprofit organizations receiving grants are Badgerland Youth for Christ, Bay Lakes Council, Bo’s Heavenly Clubhouse, Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac, Broken Bread, Childrens Museum of Fond du Lac, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Family Resource Center of Fond du Lac County, Fond du Lac Adult Literacy Services, Fond du Lac Family YMCA, Fondy Food Pantry, Gratitude Club, Habitat for Humanity of Fond du Lac County, Lakeland Care, Salute the Troops, Salvation Army of Fond du Lac County, Solutions Center, The Arc Fond du Lac, and YScreen.
