Fond du Lac firefighters had to use a rescue basket to pull a Fond du Lac man out of the Fond du Lac River. Shortly after 8pm Thursday rescue personnel were called to the area of Forest Avenue and Macy Street for a report of a person that fell in the river. Upon arrival, fire Rescue personnel found two people in the river, the a man that fell in and another bystander that jumped in to assist. Because of the high banked walls at the location rescue personnel set up a rope system attached to a rescue basket to extricate the patient who was then transported to the hospital for non-life threating injuries.
