6-3-20 teen charged in fatal waupaca county crash

WAUPACA, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors in Waupaca County have charged a 17-year-old boy they say intentionally caused a crash that killed a woman. Logan Stedjee is charged with first-degree reckless homicide in last Saturday’s fatal crash in Bear Creek. 6-2-20 fire damages abandoned warehouse building in fdl

Fire damaged an abandoned warehouse building in Fond du Lac this morning.  Fire Chief Pete O’Leary says nobody was injured in the blaze at the Old Casket Company building on Brooke Street between Western Avenue and Division Street.  O’Leary says a MABAS Box Alarm was sounded  after the initial call came in shortly before 3am Tuesday.  The fire was brought under control in a couple of hours. photo:fdl fire/rescue

6-2-20 wi nears 600 deaths from covid-19

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The percentage of new positive COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin continues a downward trend. The latest figures from the state Department of Health Services show that 4% of all tests reported Monday were positive. That is the third smallest total in the past two weeks. In total, just over 18,500 people have tested positive in Wisconsin and 595 have died. That was up by three from Sunday. […]
