A heat wave has settled into the Badger State for the holiday weekend. Hot, sticky weather is in the forecast through at least the middle of next week with temperatures right around 90. National Weather Service meteorologist Paul Collar says July is the hottest month of the year. Make sure to drink plenty of water, avoid dehydrating liquids, stay in an air conditioned environment if possible, wear protective clothing and sunscreen if you are outdoors and be alert to signs of heat-related illness. Don’t leave a child or pet in a parked car.
