The driver and a passenger in a car involved in a high speed chase and crash in Fond du Lac County Thursday night received non life-threatening injuries. The chase started at 8:36 p.m. when a Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a vehicle speeding southbound on Interstate 41 near CTH N in the Town of Eldorado. The driver failed to stop and continued south at a high rate of speed, exiting at Johnson St. and traveling west on Highway 23. The chase continued south on town roads with the driver ignoring stop signs ending when the vehicle left Hillcrest Road south of Highway T and collided with a utility pole. The driver and a passenger were transported to St. Agnes Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The operator was taken into custody on charges of Eluding, Recklessly Endangering Safety, and other traffic violations.
