Fond du Lac public school officials continue to work on plans for the upcoming school year as the number of coronavirus cases continue to rise over the summer. Interim superintendent Sharon Simon says at this point the District has not made a decision on whether students will return full time to the classroom. Simon says several plans will be developed that will allow the District to shift between phases depending on where the pandemic is at. “We continue to take advice from the health department, and the pandemic changes from day to day,” Simon told WFDL news. Simon says currently teams comprised of principals, teachers and District office staff are meeting at the elementary, middle school and high school level to develop a plan that reduces the risk of exposure to students and staff. Simon says no final decision has been made on mandating face masks, at the high school, for example.
