A Fond du Lac man charged with a hate crime in connection with what authorities say was an intentional head on fatal collision between a pickup truck and motorcycle has been bound over for trial . Twenty seven year old Daniel Navarro has waived his preliminary hearing on a charge of First Degree Intentional Homicide with a Hate Crime enhancer. Investigators say earlier this month Navarro crossed the center line on Winnebago Drive near Taycheeda Way striking a motorcycle, killing the operator, 55 year old Phillip Theissen of Fond du Lac. Navarro told investigators he struck the motorcyclist because he was white.
