7-18-20 fdl man sentenced to prison for shooting outside tavern

A Fond du Lac man convicted in connection with a shooting incident last  year outside a Fond du Lac tavern is going to prison.   Fond du Lac judge Robert Wirtz sentenced 26 year old Mohamed Elmhdati to nine years in prison followed by nine years of extended supervision.  Elmhdati was earlier convicted of multiple charges including first degree reckless injury with a dangerous weapon.   A jury found Elmhdati not guilty of attempted homicide and armed robbery.   Police  say Elmhdati  shot another man in the leg with his elementary age daughter standing next to him outside  the D&D Tavern near the corner of Division Street and  Lincoln Avenue.
