A Sheboygan man was seriously injured in a head on collision on Highway 23 east of Fond du Lac and police are looking for the driver of a car that caused the crash. It happened shortly before 12pm Saturday on Highway 23 east of Tower Road. The Fond du lac County Sheriff’s Office says an eastbound car was attempting to pass several vehicles, when it encountered a westbound pickup truck, striking a car when it tried to merge back into the eastbound lane. That car crossed the center line striking the pickup and another car. The pickup, crossed the center line, striking a fifth vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle turned around and drove back toward the city of Fond du Lac. The driver of the pickup truck, a 66 year old Sheboygan man, was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah with serious injuries. Nobody else was injured in the crash. The Sheriff’s Office says everyone was wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the suspect vehicle is described as an Hispanic or African-American man with black hair, driving a white colored Chevrolet Malibur or Impala or light silver colored Nissan sedan.
