Two people were seriously injured in a fiery, alcohol-related crash in Fond du Lac County. The Sheriff’s Office says shortly after 9pm Saturday the driver of a car failed to negotiate a curve on Double D Road and Lake Drive, traveled into the ditch, before striking a tree and starting on fire. A witness in the area quickly extinguished the fire. The driver, 28 year old Lisa Hogan of Oshkosh, and a passenger, 31 year old, Shane Vis, of Campbellsport were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Neither was wearing a seatbelt. Hogan was later flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. The Sheriff’s Office says speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
