Fond  du Lac and North Fond du Lac Public Schools say they plan to follow public health guidelines in reopening schools this fall.   Using the county Safer Reopening metrics, both districts would reopen schools , with students in class for a couple days a week,  and online for three days.  North Fond  du Lac superintendent Aaron Sadoff says face coverings would be required.  Sadoff says even though most district residents, including himself, want to see kids in the classroom full time, he’s not willing to experiment with kids and the staff, and instead will rely on the advice of the health experts.  Both districts would also allow parents to chose a remote learning option for their child.   Fond du Lac School District Interim superintendent, Sharon Simon, says as the metrics stand  today students would start in a blended model,  in class two days a week, with three days of online instruction.  Simon says the blended model gives the District the best opportunity to social distance and work with smaller groups of students.  Simon says face coverings would be required grades three through 12.
